Dawn Alexander is the controller for Leaffer Law Group. Prior to joining the firm in September 2008, Dawn worked in a variety of roles within the legal industry. After attending school for criminal justice, she worked several years as a legal assistant for a domestic relations law firm. In 1991, she held the position of legal assistant to President Marilyn Yarbrough at the University of Tennessee, School of Law. Dawn also assisted the career placement center during the recruiting sessions to help place second- and third-year law students with law firms across the East coast.

In 1992, she moved to Denver, and began working for a local attorney as a legal assistant and office manager. Since that time, she has been active supporting a variety of local causes including Food Bank of the Rockies, Denver Children’s Hospital and the Denver Rescue Mission. She serves on the architectural committee for her homeowner’s association where she previously served as president.
